RingCentral – An industry leading brand headquartered in Belmont California, Ringcentral has experienced a rapid rise to become a top choice for office telephony solutions. The company recently won IHS Markit’s UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Internet Business Phone System Scorecard for a third year in a row. The report notes that the company won the evaluation by a large margin. Additionally, Ringcentral has won several awards including Aragon Research’s 2018 Innovation Award.
RingCentral’s service options begin with its Essentials package at $19.95 monthly. This is a per user price, with up to 20 users allowed. The package offers:
– unlimited phone calls within the US and Canada;
– 100 toll-free minutes per month;
– toll-free or local number;
– Voicemail-to-text and more.
Premium priced packages offer much more
Headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, was founded in 2007. It is a virtual hosted internet phone system for small business that offers more than 40 office features and tools. The system is seamless and requires no hardware or maintenance. It also comes with a remarkable ease of set up which is almost instantaneous. A range of service packages are on offer. At the low end, there is a monthly base price of $12.99 per month, which includes 300 minutes. Unlimited packages begin at $29.99 per user per month for the Base, $37.99 for the Plus and $54.99 for the Pro plan. For these packages, opt for the yearly pre-pay plan which then effectively drops your monthly charges respectively by $5 per user per month for the Base and Plus plans, and by $10 for the Pro plan.
With this price comes a slew of features: 300 monthly minutes; unlimited user extensions; 1 Local or Toll-Free Number; 5,000 SMS Messages; 40+ Standard Features including Call Queuing, Voicemail to Email, and more! One caveat with Phone.com is that there is an extra charge for some features that many other companies include for free, such as call recording, analytics and video conferencing. This is noted in an otherwise positive review of Phone.com internet business phone system by Business.com
Headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, Grashopper was founded in 2003. Its market is tailored towards small business customers including companies made up of lone individuals. Grasshopper’s price is the highest of the three companies noted here. It starts at $26 for 1 number, which comes with 3 extensions.
